About Us
Gray & Associates was established in 1994 by Tom Gray, a retired Colonel from the U.S. Army. Synopsis, originally put out weekly via facsimile, started out as Fax from the Colonel, highlighting congressional actions on defense medical issues. In 1997, Fax from the Colonel was renamed Synopsis, and was distributed daily, via email, as a digital summary. Today, Synopsis summarizes hearings and actions covering medical health care issues pertaining to defense, Veteran, and general health care for the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, and including limited coverage of the National Guard Bureau and Reserves. Highlights of Synopsis include summaries of the Annual Defense Authorization and Appropriation bills and reports; summaries of key Department of Defense Congressional medical and leadership hearings and meetings, and summaries of MedPAC and MACPAC meetings, which are congressionally mandated commissions dealing with Medicare and Medicaid.
